Eurasia Extractive Industries Knowledge Hub

The proposed project will cover project expenses for Eurasia EI Knowledge Hub’s activities during the first quarter of 2013 (January-March 2013). During the first three months of 2013, the hub will deliver a course on various segments of the value chain and build the ground for long-term sustainable activities. The project will also cover staff salaries, trainer services, travel, transportation and hotel expenses for trainees. Khazar University plans to apply for a new grant in early 2013 to cover expenses for the hub’s next set of activities to be implemented between April-December 2013. Hub activities anticipated for 2013, subject to funding, include: (i) a revenue management course to be held in June 2013; (ii) the hub summer school to be held in July 2013; (iii) an EITI course to be held in October 2013; (iv) a ToT course to be held in November 2013; and (v) ongoing research projects on extractives.
