Iraq Reconstruction Institute

Established in 2006, Iraq Reconstruction Institute is a nonprofit organization that aims to advance the development of Iraq’s infrastructure and build the capacity of civil society groups in Iraq for increased civic engagement. IRI is one of the few nongovernmental organizations in Iraq that seeks, as part of its mission, to promote the effective implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in Iraq. IRI has vast experience conducting advocacy campaigns, offering training courses (on proposal writing, business and strategic planning, good governance principles, assessment of financial and administration systems) to a variety of government and non-government audiences, as well as monitoring and evaluating the impacts of these projects.
